If you need help, we have a list of frequently asked questions and answers. We will update this list as we start to receive more inquiries into our efforts. If you do not see your question or answer below, reach out via email at director@columbussportsfoundation.org or by using the contact form on our site and we'd be happy to help.

The Columbus Sports Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing facilities and funding for sports in Columbus, Nebraska. Our organization consists of an Executive Board that is responsible for making all legal decisions and setting operating guidelines for the organization and planned sports complex. The Executive Board will also determine how funding is distributed throughout the community.

Assisting the Executive Board will be an Advisory Council that is made up of representatives from any and all sports organizations, schools, and other sports facilities. This council will advise the Executive Board about each program's facility use needs and help make scheduling decisions for the complex. The council will also have a voice on funding and equipment needs, and can propose specific projects to the Executive Board for approval.

The Columbus Sports Foundation's goal is to construct, own, and operate a sports complex capable of hosting a variety of sports leagues, tournaments, practices, camps and clinics, and other general purpose use to improve the quality of life in Columbus. This complex will serve the greater community by opening its doors for each program to use to meet its needs or host their own events or other activities. The complex will also serve the general public, helping keep residents in Columbus while also bringing in visitors to our community to spend their dollars at area businesses.

The proceeds from operation of this sports complex will not only cover the operational costs of the facility, but also allow the Foundation to establish and maintain a charitable fund. This fund will assist individuals and families with registration fees for participating in any sport at any location in Columbus. Funds will also be available to assist with the purchase of protective or required equipment, and will also be used to update, upgrade, replace, or add sports equipment to city parks, schools, churches, or other sports facilities.

If your sports team, organization, or facility is interested in being involved with our efforts, please reach out to us at director@columbussportsfoundation.org or by using our contact form. We will also offer an online form to get involved in the near future.

There are a few ways you can help us bring a new sports complex to Columbus, and help us keep sports dollars in Columbus and benefit the greater community as a whole:

We will accept financial contributions to our cause. At this time, we are accepting pledges until we finalize our 501(c)3 standing with the IRS. Once we are officially cleared as a 501(c)3 organization, we will reach back out to follow up on your pledge. We are also accepting interest from local businesses or citizens who may be interested in naming rights for the facility, field or room sponsorships, or other interior advertising which will help promote your business while also supporting our efforts.

If you are involved in the local sports scene in any capacity, let us know. We will have an online contact form in the near future for you to use to reach us, but in the meantime send an email to director@columbussportsfoundation.org. We'd love to hear from you!

Become a volunteer. This is a pretty big project, so every little bit of assistance helps. Reach out at the email address above or use our contact form to let us know you are interested. We appreciate any and all help we can get to improve our community.

Any other help promoting our cause, such as following our social media pages and sharing our posts help keep the Columbus Sports Foundation's efforts in the spotlight, helping push us toward our goal.
